Controlled Substances
Federal and state governments closely regulate controlled medications such as Ambien, Lunesta, Adderall, Vyvanse, Clonazepam, Xanax, etc. These medications are useful however they have the potential for misuse. For this reason, we require all patients prescribed with controlled medications be seen every 90 days in order to continue receiving the medication.
Prescription Refills
When requesting a refill of your medication, please allow 24 hours for our office and your pharmacy to complete your prescription. Prescription requests are reviewed and submitted at the end of the business day.
If your insurance company requires a prior authorization for your medications, we will submit the PA to your insurance company in a timely manner. Please allow up to 72 hours for this office to hear back from your insurance company.
Electronic Communication
Please do not communicate medical/therapy related information via text messaging or email. These communications are not protected and cannot be guaranteed as private, please understand that there is a risk to a third party accessing your information. If you need to communicate with your provider, please call the office and leave a message with the receptionist.
Appointment Reminders
Please provide us with a phone number to reach you during the day. As a courtesy, we call 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to confirm your appointment. If you miss your appointment, or do give 48 hour notice of cancelling your appointment, you will be charged your regular fee. New patients that fail to give 48 hour notice of cancellation will not be rescheduled without payment in advance.
Payment
We have chosen not to contract with insurance companies, however, most insurances will reimburse you 50-90% of our fees. You will be required by your insurance company to meet your deductible as well as any co-payment prior to receiving your reimbursement. If you wish to submit for reimbursement, please notify the receptionist so she can provide you with the documents you will need.
